It starts out simple enough with a snapshot of a small town, quaint home, and picket fences, but things quickly become very heated in the first trailer for the upcoming action film, Homefront. Directed by Gary Fleder and adapted by Sylvester Stallone from Chuck Logan’s popular novel of the same name, the film puts a former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) employee, Jason Statham, looking for a quiet life in a simple town against a local drug kingpin played by James Franco in one of his edgiest performances yet. Stallone doesn’t appear in the film, but there’s plenty of other big names, including Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, Frank Grillo, and Mischa Barton to help push this movie to the top of the charts. Homefront hits the theaters just before the Thanksgiving Holiday on November 27 in the United States followed by a worldwide release two days later. You can watch the entire trailer
